Design Through Time
Poster Design
Created as part of a university assessment, this conceptual poster was designed for the Faux Gallery’s Design Through Time exhibition to capture the rich essence of Paris. I centred the composition around a bold, ornate old door — a powerful symbol of the city’s architectural elegance and enduring history. The mirrored double‑door structure is supported by refined typography, a culturally resonant colour palette, and balanced formatting.
To enhance the poster’s sophistication, I used visual techniques to simulate the tactile depth of embossing on thick cardstock, while charcoal brushwork added texture and character. The final design reflects the unique identity of Paris and aligns seamlessly with the Faux Gallery’s
artistic vision.
