When In Paris

Poster Design

Created as part of a university assessment, this conceptual poster design was developed for the Faux Gallery’s Design Through Time exhibition to capture the rich essence of Paris.

The design is centred around a bold, ornate old door, chosen as a powerful symbol of the city’s architectural elegance and enduring history. The composition features a mirrored double-door structure and is grounded in refined typography, a culturally resonant colour palette, and balanced formatting.

To enrich the design's sophistication, visual techniques were used to simulate the tactile depth of embossing on thick cardstock, and charcoal brushwork was applied to add texture. The final poster reflects the unique identity of Paris while perfectly aligning with the Faux Gallery’s artistic vision.
